Today, we’re excited to congratulate Limitless on its acquisition by Meta—an important milestone for the company and a meaningful moment for everyone who believed early in the future they were building.
Hickory Falls Ventures invested in the company during its Series A, back when it was known as Rewind—a time when the idea of personal AI, ambient memory augmentation, and AI-native hardware was still considered unconventional. What drew us in wasn’t proximity to the team or any deep relationship; it was the clarity of the thesis, the ambition of the problem space, and the conviction that this category would eventually matter at scale.
From the beginning, Rewind—and later Limitless—stood out as a company willing to rethink how humans interact with information. They embraced a bold trajectory: evolving from software-first personal recall tools to purpose-built AI wearables capable of capturing, interpreting, and enhancing real-world context. For us, this aligned naturally with HFV’s belief that the next decade of computing will be defined by seamless, human-centric interfaces that blend the digital and physical worlds.
